13 pounds and a plane ticket
September 6, 2014
I’m on my way to Nepal!
Currently sitting in the Singapore airport with an 8 hour layover after sleeping like a baby during the first stretch of my flight. About 14 hours from now (33 total hours of travel ughhhh) I’ll be in kathmandu, Nepal!
I’ve done minimal reading, no planning or scheduling, I just have it in my mind that I should trek the Annapurna Circuit and that’s what I plan to do! I’m hoping to either find amazing shit to do or meet amazing people to follow with no return flight and no time limitations (except visa), sounds exciting right?
In a few days I’ll be back to crushing miles again! On this trip I’m bringing my ULA Circuit backpack with my NeoAir xLite sleeping pad, Enlightened Gear 20 degree quilt/sleeping bag, some layers of clothing (mostly merino wool), my Suntactics solar charger, batteries, a headlamp, bug repellent, and my passport/cash. I weighed my pack on the airport scales and it came out around 6 kilos or 13.5 pounds. It feels great but I wish I had washed it before I left, it stinks.
Keep an eye out for sweet pictures and if you have any recommendations on what I should do or see while in Nepal, leave a comment!
